Randy Newman Solo

A great songwriter comes to Lucerne. For singers, pianists and songwriters, the U.S. music scene is expansive. But there are very few with the creative output of Randy Newman today. Even with the number of his albums as well as songs written by him, he distinguished himself from the masses. Newman has composed great songs that everyone knows - for example, "You Can Leave Your Hat On" - for artists like The Blues Brothers, Joe Cocker, Ry Cooder, Elvis Costello, Ella Fitzgerald and more than 30 other performers. Now the all-around songwriter is back on tour. In his bags he has his first solo album in almost ten years: "Harps And Angels" contains ten wonderful new titles that will get under your skin. His performances are intense and passionate. Randy Newman will perform on Monday, 24 November 2008 (19.30 clock) in the Concert Hall of the KKL Luzern show.
