Randy Newman is one of the most iconic, musically adept and stylistically diverse singer/songwriters in the music industry. A gifted composer and social satirist, his movie soundtrack work has now earned him 16 Oscar® nominations for “Toy Story,” “The Natural,” “Avalon,” “Awakenings,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Pleasantville,” “Meet the Parents,” and for his infamous chart-stoppers, “Short People” and “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” among others. Newman’s “If I Didn’t Have You” from Monsters, Inc., won an Oscar for Best Song and a Grammy Award for Best Film for Television Song.
