Singer/songwriter Randy Newman has booked an appearance at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts on Oct. 9.
The 7:30 p.m. show has tickets priced at $42.50, $40.50 and $36.50. Tickets for ArtsPartners and seat sponsors are on sale now by calling (309) 434-2777; orders must be received by Aug. 6. General public tickets are on sale Aug. 7.
Newman has won a Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award and is known for radio hits “Short People,” "Sail Away," and “I Love L.A.” He wrote music for the movies “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.” and “A Bug’s Life."
His newest recording, "Harps and Angels," will be released Aug. 5.
