Theater Work

On occasion, there have been theatrical performances staged using Randy's material. The most notable of these, of course, was "Faust" which was totally written by Randy and has been staged twice, in La Jolla, California and Chicago, Illinois. "The Education of Randy Newman" has also been staged twice, in Costa Mesa, California and Seattle, Washington.

Faust
The Education of Randy Newman: "Education" was a stage show loosely based on Randy's life and totally filled with his songs. It was staged first in Costa Mesa by South Coast Repertory, and then reworked with additional songs written specifically for the show by Randy and presented in Seattle by the ACT.
